5Drying - Drying Process

After the maturation and crumbing stages, the crumb fractions move to drying. Here, the crumb rubber is placed in tray trolleys or compartmentalized iron boxes, then dried using a dryer machine operating at approximately 135°C for 2.5 to 3 hours. The drying system relies on effective heat transfer from a heat source — typically a furnace with a heat exchanger — so the rubber dries evenly and reaches a "cured" state. The objective is to remove residual moisture until the Dry Rubber Content reaches 100%, making it ready for use in finished rubber goods production.
