3Maturation - Maturation Process
The most common maturation method is the hanging-room method. In this method, rubber sheets from the creping stage are hung for 9–21 days until reaching a Dry Rubber Content of around 90%. This stage allows for uniform progression of secondary reactions of natural compounds such as fatty acids (e.g., stearic acid), and helps restore key physical properties, including the Plasticity Retention Index (PRI).
